OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING

Date/Time of release: November 17, 2008 @ 10:30 P.M.

The Vermont State Police are conducting a joint investigation with the Bristol Police Department pertaining to an officer involved shooting that occurred on North Street in the Town of Bristol, Vermont.  The names of the officers involved will not be released at this time, nor will the name of the suspect involved.  The suspect is being treated for non-life threatening injuries at a local hospital.  

An investigation is continuing at this time.  As a result of the nature of the incident, no further information will be made available at this time.   An updated press release will become available as the investigation develops.
