The men and women of the Vermont State Police are very proud of the work they do in protecting the citizens and the visitors to Vermont. Our web site is an effort to deliver more information to those we serve. Please feel free to make suggestions on how we can best serve you.

The Vermont State Police is a full service law enforcement agency consisting of 328 sworn members, approximately 90 emergency communication dispatchers and civilian support staff. I am very proud of the men and women who make up this fine organization. Every day members make a difference in the safety of Vermonters and visitors alike.

The Vermont State Police is the primary law enforcement agency serving approximately 200 towns, 90 percent of the land mass and 50 percent of the population. In addition, the specialized resources of the Vermont State Police support our local, county and federal partners in time of need. The emergency communication dispatchers answer approximately 89 percent of all the E-911 calls made in Vermont.
